Muftia Tlaib Bio

Muftia Tlaib is Rashida Tlaib’s grandma. She lives in a “Beit Ur al-Fauqa” tiny city. She’s between the ages of 85 and 90.
She moved to the town in the same house in 1974. The Tlaib land stretches far and contains olive groves and fig trees, Muftia told The Post, but building a significant highway across their territory has made it hard to walk through.
Israel announced that it would not allow the scheduled trip of Tlaib and his fellow Congresswoman Ilhan Omar to the nation.
Trump informs me that I should be pleased that Rashida is not coming in an interview with Muftia Tlaib about President Donald Trump. May God destroy him.

Who is Rashida Tlaib

Born on July 24, 1976 in Detroit, MI, Rashida Harbi Tlaib is an American politician and lawyer who serves as the U.S. Representative since 2019 for the 13th Congressional District of Michigan. The district involves Detroit’s western half as well as several of its western suburbs and much of the Downriver region.

Israel granted a one-day visit to Tlaib

Israel granted her family a one-day visit, but Tlaib refused. She said that was an insult. On August 16, Tlaib issued the following Twitter declaration explaining why she would not accept the one-day visit offer. The declaration reads,

“When I won, it gave the Palestinian people hope that someone will finally speak the truth about the inhumane conditions.
I can’t allow the State of Israel to take away that light by humiliating me & use my love for my city to bow down to their oppressive & racist policies. Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me.
It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in — fighting against racism, oppression & injustice.”

My sity wanted to pick figs w/ me. I broke down reading this & worry every single day after I won for my family’s safety. My cousin was texting me which photo of @IlhanMN & I they should put on a welcoming poster when I heard the news. I couldn’t tell her.https://t.co/TneIQHwDgO

To Reuters, Tlaib’s uncle Bassam Tlaib defined Muftia as Tlaib’s “second mom.” “Rashida considers her grandmother as a second mom,” he clarified, “she has always backed her. Rashida claims that she owes her grandma her achievement.”

This woman right here is my sity. She deserves to live in peace & with human dignity. I am who I am because of her. The decision by Israel to bar her granddaughter, a U.S. Congresswoman, is a sign of weakness b/c the truth of what is happening to Palestinians is frightening. pic.twitter.com/GGcFLiH9N3

Bassam also claimed that since 2006, Muftia and Tlaib had not seen each other. He added that when Rashida arrived she was going to slaughter a sheep and prepare her favorite food, stuffed vine leave.

.@AGvaryahu I was looking forward to it & can’t thank you enough for being on the right side of history. As an American who grew up embracing justice & equality, I appreciate your courage & hope that one day my Congressional colleagues are given the opportunity to hear you. https://t.co/wbboQEUHge
