Whitney Collings aka The Straight Shot, was Season 3’s original bad girl. Whitney was 21 when she was filming, and she lives in Boston.
Whitney died at the age of 33 in a hospital near Boston on December 4, 2020.
She was 33 years old.
Between 2008 and 2009, Collings starred in 12 episodes of Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club and returned to film the Bad Girls Club Reunion Special. According to her IMDb page, before joining the reality series, she served as a sales agent for Priority One Marketing Company in Florida.
She was working as a senior sales executive at E-cigarettes Wholesale at the time of her death, as reported on her Facebook page.
When she became a reality star, Collings was only 21 years old. While she was working as a barmaid in Boston, as reported by The Boston Herald, Collings was also studying biology and physics at Salem State.
Collings was pulled by the urge to live in a lavish house in Los Angeles as to why she wanted to join the reality series, “and it was a good excuse to party,” she joked before the 2008 season premiered. The Straight Shooter was her nickname in the series.
Although Collings had run-ins on-screen with fellow castmates including Sarah Michaels, Ailea Carr, and Tiffany Davis, she told The Boston Herald that they were all close friends off-screen, chatting on a regular basis. ‘It’s a reality TV show,’ I keep telling people, hinting that not all of what viewers saw on TV was true drama.

Collings’s mother, Linda Houghton Collings, posted the news on Facebook, according to TMZ. she wrote, “I am completely broken and will never get over this. Life is so unfair. She was kind with a big heart,”

Collings is confirmed to have died in a hospital near Boston on Thursday, December 3. The cause of death was not reported.
