Career
Brzi attended an international Bible translation seminar at the Amsterdam Open University and the Lund University forum to discuss Koran translations.
He has been teaching Turkish at the University of Latvia’s Modern Languages Department since 2002. Brzi’s poetry has been translated into several languages, including German, Swedish, Estonian, and Lithuanian. Brzi completed translating the Quran into Latvian in 2009, a massive task that had taken him fifteen years.
He recalls the half-year he spent working in an Istanbul library with fondness. Throughout his work, he corresponded with a number of Quran and Islam experts.
