According to a new report, the 13-year-old Florida cheerleader named Tristyn Bailey who was found dead Sunday in a remote wooded area of the state was stabbed a “horrific” number of times.
Sheriff Rob Hardwick of St. Johns County revealed the information in a Tuesday interview with WJXT, calling Tristyn Bailey’s death a “cold-blooded murder.”
Bailey’s seventh-grade classmate Aiden Fucci, 14, has been charged with her murder.
This is 13 year old Tristyn Bailey. She was raped and murdered by a group of 13-14 year olds boys, one of which (Aiden Fucci, 14) was charged with 2nd degree murder. This is what the rest of them have been posting on instagram. SHE DESERVES JUSTICE!!!! pic.twitter.com/M7cdxm4l9s
The medical examiner ruled Bailey’s death a homicide caused by “sharp force trauma by stabbing,” according to a report released by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office earlier Tuesday.
Hardwick said to the news outlet, “That being said, I don’t wanna mention the number of times, but it is horrific. It is horrible,”
“And the word accident is nowhere involved in this case.”
Hardwick said that Fucci is the only suspect in his office. A second-degree murder charge was filed against the boy on Monday. The sheriff said, “This is a cold-blooded murder of a 13-year-old young girl who did not deserve to die,”
Fucci was ordered to stay in juvenile detention for the next 21 days until prosecutors determine whether or not to sue him as an adult on Tuesday morning.
