Who was Titus Badejo?

On Sunday, the Oyo State Police Command confirmed the assassination of  Titus Badejo AKA Eja Nla, a prominent Ibadan radio presenter, by unknown gunmen.

DSP Adewale Osifeso, the state’s police public relations officer, verified the incident in a text message to the News Agency of Nigeria in Ibadan. According to NAN, Badejo, a former broadcaster with Naija FM Ibadan, was shot and killed by unknown assailants outside Club 407 in Ibadan’s Oluyole neighborhood at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday.

He was 23 years old.

Shot Dead Full Details

The attackers allegedly focused on Eja Nla, fired a barrage of rounds at him, and made sure he was dead before departing with nothing from him or his companions. It was only a week after his 40th birthday that he was assassinated.

according to thewillnigeria.com, a source said, “When he was leaving with his friends in his car around 11:30pm, two masked men on a motorcycle suddenly stopped his car, wielding a gun and asked all of them to lie down. He was the only one shot by the gunmen, who left immediately without taking anything or touching the other occupants of the car,”

Meanwhile, a rising Nigerian rapper is known as Igho, also known as “Stankush,” has apparently passed away.

Stankush was allegedly shot dead on Saturday evening in Warri, Delta State, according to reports. Unknown fully armed gunmen assassinated the well-known singer.

Armed men were said to have barricaded the route near the city’s Ugbolokposo axis. After the killing, panic ensued on the road, and many ran for their lives.

His car was stopped by gunmen, believed to be hired assailants, at a roadblock in the city’s Ugbolokposo axis, according to sources.

According to the PPRO, investigations are still underway to determine the circumstances behind the crime and apprehend the perpetrators.

According to punchng.com Osifeso said in the statement, “At about 0730hrs, Sunday 20th June 2021, One Damilola Afolabi ‘m’, Manager, at Club 407, Oluyole Ibadan, reported at the Oluyole Divisional Police Headquarters that on Saturday, 19th June 2021, one Titus Badejo, journalist and freelance disc jockey with the club, was shot outside the club’s premises by unknown assailants.”

“However, comprehensive investigations are in top gear to unravel circumstances surrounding the incident and to apprehend the assailants. Verifiable updates would be provided soonest,”
