Who was Terry Donahue?

Terrence Michael Donahue AKA Terry Donahue worked as a football analyst and was a former American football player, coach, and executive. He was born on June 24, 1944, in Los Angeles, California.


He was 77 years old.


Andrea Donahue is the wife of Terry Donahue. Terry Donahue is survived by his wife Andrea Donahue and three daughters named Nicole, Michele, and Jennifer, in addition to three sons-in-law and ten grandchildren.


From 1976 through 1995, he was the head football coach of the UCLA Bruins, with a 151–74–8 record. Donahue was the general manager of the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers from 2001 until 2005. (NFL).

As a coach, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000. Donahue was on the Board of Directors for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, which honors college football’s Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year and is named after Ronnie Lott.

He picked five Pro Bowlers as a general manager in the NFL, three of whom came in the third round or later. Donahue was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

He was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame three years prior. He was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001. He was also named one of ESPN’s “150 Greatest College Coaches of All Time.”

Following his coaching career, Donahue worked as a broadcaster for CBS Sports and FOX, as well as in the front office for the San Francisco 49ers.

After a two-year struggle with cancer, Donahue died on July 4, 2021, at the age of 77. The legendary coach died surrounded by family at his Newport Beach home on Sunday.
