Until switching to acting in 2013, Song started her career as a cosmetics brand model, when she landed a supporting role in the romantic drama Golden Rainbow on MBC.
As part of the cast of the daily drama Make Your Wish (aka Make a Wish) in 2014, she quickly followed it up and later starred in School 2017, part of the long-running School franchise on KBS2. She was one of the leads in the web drama Dear My Name in 2019.
In 2019, Song signed with the Sublime Artist Agency, which also represents, among others, Parasite actor Song Kang-ho and vocalist Jung Ji-hoon (aka Rain), as she was preparing to take the next step in her career.
Her managers, the Sublime Artist Agency, have confirmed the news. The cause of death was not revealed immediately.
Song’s funeral procession will be held on Monday afternoon following a funeral held at the Seoul Medical Centre’s Gangnam Branch. Reports about the cause of her death were not reported by the agency.
