Senta Wengraf was an Austrian film actress. She was born on May 10, 1924, in Vienna.


She was 96 years old.


In 1946, in the first Austrian feature film following the Second World War, she played Confidence in Me. In the famous Sissi films, she played Sissi’s lady-in-waiting, Countess Bellegarde. It also worked extensively for the radio, beginning with the Rot-Weiß-Rot station.

Opera chief Marcel Prawy, who died in 2003, bequeathed an extensive collection of musical papers, manuscripts, and original sheet music from Richard Strauss to Leonard Bernstein to his associate Senta Wengraf. She gave it to the town of Vienna.

During his marriage to his wife, Vera, who died in 1988, lasting from 1972 until his death in 1990, Senta Wengraf had a long-term relationship with former Federal Chancellor Bruno Kreisky.

She won the Golden Decoration for Services to the State of Vienna in 2008.
