Sarah Nicole Harding AKA Sarah Harding was an English singer, model, and actress who rose to prominence after auditioning for the ITV reality show Popstars: The Rivals in late 2002.
From 2005 to 2006, Harding had an on-again, off-again romance with Calum Best. The two remained friends throughout their lives.
Harding checked into a rehab facility in South Africa in October 2011, citing alcoholism and depression as reasons.
She didn’t completely stop consuming a*cohol; instead, she “reined it in.” After police officers spotted her talking on her phone while driving through central London on April 16, 2013, Harding received a six-month driving restriction and a £605 fine.
Harding’s mother stated in her death announcement, “Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day,”
She added, “I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease.”
Geri Horner, a former Spice Girl, tweeted, “Rest in peace, Sarah Harding. You’ll be remembered for the light and joy you brought to the world.”
Her mum said: “She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.” pic.twitter.com/gbRAQPN8Ur
