The San Bernardino Police Department reported that a Desert Hot Springs man was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder after allegedly stomping his girlfriend’s 3-year-old child’s head on the ground.

Accused Of Killing His Girlfriend’s Son Full Details

Santos Rodriguez is accused of Saturday’s killing of the toddler, an accusation police say he admitted. According to the police, after losing his temper, he admitted to stomping the child’s head repeatedly on the ground.

Following further questioning by investigators, he made the admission, police said.

Officers rushed to a hospital Saturday, where the boy was being treated for serious head injuries by medical personnel, police said.

Rodriguez first told emergency workers and investigators that the kid had fallen off a Razor scooter, according to police, and hit his head on the pavement.

But the police said after further questioning, Rodriguez confessed and said he murdered the boy at the 500-block West Victoria Street home.

Investigation

No other details were released by investigators. In a news release, the police said that there is currently no further information available for public release.

The motive remains under investigation, police said.

At the San Bernardino County West Valley Detention Center, Rodriguez is being held without bail.
