Rozaline Katherine Bio/Wiki
According to reports that placing raw garlic cloves up one’s nose will aid with congestion and other sinus-related disorders, a bizarre and stinky “hack” is circulating on social media.
Medical professionals, on the other hand, appear to be warning against the growing practice, claiming that it may be more dangerous than it appears.
While the use of garlic as a decongestant has been around for a long time, it has gained new media attention in the last week, thanks to a viral TikTok video in particular.
Rozaline Katherine posted her try at the garlic trick earlier this week, and it has already received 4.5 million views in just four days.
She is around 25-30 years old.
Blocked Nose With Garlic (TikTok Trend Explained)
After witnessing others raving about the “life hack” on TikTok, the social media sensation from Arizona decided to push two bulbs of garlic up her nostrils earlier this month.
She said, “I didn’t think it was actually going to work which is why I filmed it more as a joke.”
Rozaline began the “experiment” by peeling the cloves, sticking them up her nose, and waiting 10 minutes for them to work their magic. She added, “I set a timer for 10 minutes and just watched TV while I waited,”
Rozaline claimed it didn’t burn or sting at all, but she could feel her nose was starting to flow again when the timer went off.
She continues, “I was expecting it to be a little runny but then tons of boogers just started coming out and I was totally shocked.”
The most shocking thing was that Rozaline couldn’t smell any garlic. She said, “I think my sinuses were flushed out,”
“I was totally surprised by the results.”
The video has over half a million “likes” on TikTok, and it’s safe to say that it’s made people uncomfortable.
