FBI authorities are searching for a woman named ‘Riley June Williams‘ from Pennsylvania in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot earlier this month after a former romantic partner accused her of having taken a laptop from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office.

The FBI obtained data from an informant and said the allegation is still under investigation in court filings. In footage captured by the FBI, Riley June Williams can be seen directing rioters toward Pelosi’s office.

Riley June Williams was taken into custody in Pennsylvania’s Middle District on Monday.

However, the FBI said in an arrest warrant on Sunday that Williams was not charged with robbery, but rather with unlawfully entering the Capitol and disorderly conduct.

A caller claiming to be an ex of Williams said friends of hers showed him a video of her taking a laptop or hard drive from Pelosi’s office, FBI officials said.

The caller alleged that she was planning to give the device to a friend in Russia who was planning to sell it to the foreign intelligence service of that country, but that scheme fell through and she either owned or lost the device. The FBI says the matter is still being investigated.

The informant informs the department that she is telling the “intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia’s foreign intelligence service.”

The deal fell through for unexplained reasons, according to the informant, who appears to be a former Williams romantic partner.

Williams appears to be at large. Williams’ mother was last approached by Williams by local law enforcement in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. According to the affidavit. she “packed a bag and left her home and told her mother she would be gone for a couple of weeks,”

Investigation

The investigation states that Williams was “was seen in footage of the Jan. 6 insurrection in area of the Capitol near Pelosi’s office,”
