Who is Ricardo González Gutiérrez? Ricardo González Gutiérrez Bio/Wiki

Ricardo González Gutiérrez best known as Cepillín was a Mexican clown as well as a singer, TV host, and actor. He was born on February 7, 1946, in Monterrey, Mexico.

Ricardo González Gutiérrez “Cepilln,” a well-known Mexican clown and comedian, died Monday from respiratory failure after being diagnosed with spinal cancer. When he had spinal surgery recently, the cancer was discovered.

He was 75 years old.

Ricardo was a dentist who began painting his face in order for children to be less afraid of him as he worked on their teeth. When he was interviewed by a local television station, he became well-known.

Cepilln translates to “Little (tooth)Brush” in Spanish while “cepillo” means literally “brush”, the origin of the nickname implies it is, in fact, referring to a toothbrush.

In 1987, Cepilln had another show on Televisa Channel 5 called Una sonrisa con Cepilln.

In 1990, he returned to Monterrey with his sons Ricardo González Jr (′′Cepi′′) and Roberto González (′′Franky′′) for Sper sábados con Cepilln. Cepilln was live-recorded by him and his sons for Multimedios Television in 2006.

He toured Mexico and the United States in his own circus from 1982 to 2006.

Cepilln endorsed Andrés Manuel López Obrador for president in the 2018 Mexican presidential election in a video posted on April 12, 2018.
