According to a spokesman from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, DJ and producer Squeak, a member of Chicago’s Pivot Gang alongside rapper Saba, was shot and died in Chicago on Monday.

As of Tuesday evening, the Chicago Police Department has not responded to The Post’s repeated demands for confirmation of this claim.
However, according to Rolling Stone, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office appears to have confirmed his cause of death.
He was 26 years old.
How Did Pivot Gang Member Squeak Die?
Meanwhile, Squeak’s death comes after that of fellow Pivot Gang member John Walt, 23, who was killed in a street battle on Chicago’s West Side in 2017.
In the same year, Squeak disclosed how he got into the professional music industry in an interview. In 2017, he told Elevator magazine, “I had just gotten out of high school, and I just started getting in trouble and ended up on house arrest,”
“So my brother FRSH Waters was just like ‘Aye bro, just go down the street and f – – k with [Pivot Gang].’ So, I just started taking them to the studio. I was literally taking them to the studio. I just felt like I needed to do something. I always knew I was gonna do something I just never knew what.”
Squeak took to Twitter with this strange statement just hours before rumors of his death began to surface on social media. He said, “Can’t be uh fallen if ya head still high.”
As word of his terrible death went around the world, fellow musicians joined thousands of admirers on Twitter to pay tribute to the “young legend.”

PIVOT GANG twitted, “We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of one of our own, Squeak Pivot.”
