Investigation (Murdered Worker Details)
Investigators say Payne believed employees were stealing from him at the plant, located at 225 Waneka Parkway, drugging him and eventually attempting to kill him. He also supposedly thought that his ex-wife was working with the employees to try to steal all his money.
Payne shot Medina-Rojas in the head in the facility’s lobby Wednesday morning after questioning him about stealing $200 from his pocket, the arrest affidavit states. Payne then went back to his room and was arrested there by the police.
