Officer DeLeon is around 26-30 years old.

How Officer DeLeon Saved 2-Year-Old Boy With CPR?

DeLeon detoured from his job after learning the child’s age, officials said and responded to Atlantic and Flatbush avenues.

The bodycam film begins with someone bringing a limp child out of a parked car and handing him to DeLeon on the sidewalk, who had suffered an undisclosed medical incident.

While a mother could be heard weeping in pain, the officer cradled the infant in his arms and attempted CPR.

A child standing nearby questioned, “Is he going to be OK?” The toddler began to cough and cry in a matter of seconds. The woman asked, “He’s breathing, right?”

EMS transported the boy to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition.

DeLeon was hailed by police in a Monday tweet for acting quickly. The tweet read, “No day on patrol is ever routine,”

“Officer DeLeon, from the @NYPD78Pct, recently responded to a call for an unconscious and unresponsive 2-year-old boy in Brooklyn. Relying on his training, he quickly administered CPR, saving the child’s life.”
