Authorities say a Louisiana woman named Mykia Tyson allegedly enlisted the help of a gang of adolescent boys to bash her ex-new girlfriend’s boyfriend, but the plot fell apart after one of the would-be hitmen bailed.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Mykia Tyson and the four lads she is claimed to have solicited were all arrested this month in connection with the bungled murder-for-hire operation.
She is 20 years old.

According to local station WAFB, Tyson enlisted the help of 19-year-old Delester Magee and three minors after discovering that her ex was dating someone new.
On June 5, she allegedly drove the squad to her boyfriend’s house in Lacombe to commit the murder. However, at the last minute, Magee allegedly decided not to carry out the plan and purposefully missed the target, instead of firing multiple shots at the house, according to the report. There were no injuries.
Sheriff Randy Smith said the media organization, “but this could have very easily not been the case,”
Tyson was charged with a plethora of offenses, including murder solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Magee is accused of aggravated criminal damage to property, contributing to juvenile delinquency, and criminal conspiracy. Authorities did not name the three others, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-old, since they are teenagers. They were each detained and freed on a custody deal after being charged with conspiracy to commit serious criminal damage.
