She is the immigration attorney and former Congressional candidate who was referred to by viewers of Donald Trump’s NBC town hall as ‘”he nodding lady”. As she grinned approvingly at many of Trump’s comments, they couldn’t keep their eyes off her.

Career And Education
In 1989, Mayra graduated from law school at Santo Domingo Autonomous University. She is now working for a law firm and it says on her official website that she “exclusively studies” immigration law. The specialty of Joli is “detention and removal procedures.”
The profile also discloses that Joli is one of South Florida’s most involved immigration attorneys and that she has litigated cases across the United States. In 2012, Mayra also founded The Joli Law Firm.
Mayra is married and, since 1995, has been with her partner, Steven Before. Steven also works in the field of law and is a professor at the University of Miami School of Law, according to his LinkedIn profile. The pair have a son together and used to own Chester, a bulldog.
