On ring cam, Marco Angel was seen running from his delivery truck to assist the four-year-old boy. Max Pratt had attempted to retrieve the package Angel had left on the Oak Park home’s porch.
The box tilts sideways in the video, crushing the boy, who weighs only 40 pounds, underneath it.

Max told CBS Chicago, “I was scared I was going to fall down the stairs,”
Max explained that he is normally the one who receives packages for his family, but this one was too big. he added, “I couldn’t get it – well, the package man got it.”
Angel, who has been with the delivery service for a year, told CBS Chicago that he responded as quickly as he could.
Max continued, “As soon as I saw the package tilt, I just started running back to it,”
“I pictured my boys in his situation. Obviously, you go into kind of into full parent mode or full dad mode to make sure the kid is all right.”
Max, thankfully, was unharmed, telling CNN that he just received an “ouchie.”
Max’s mother, Traci Pratt, said Angel brought the package inside after assisting her son. She said to CNN, “I went to get the package and he was like, ‘No, no, no. I’m taking it inside for you. Where do you want me to put it?’ He was so nice.
Angel has been called “The Package Man” to Max, and Traci expressed her hope that UPS will give him a bonus and call him employee of the month.
