Luke Joshua Letlow AKA Luke Letlow was a politician from the American state of Louisiana. He was born on December 6, 1979, in Monroe, Louisiana, U.S.
In 2020, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for the 5th congressional district of Louisiana but died of COVID-19 before he could assume office. Letlow served as chief of staff for the removal of Representative Ralph Abraham until his election to Congress.

He was 41 years old.
According to a statement Bautsch posted on Facebook, Luke Letlow was survived by his wife, Julia Barnhill Letlow, and two young children.
During Jindal’s time in the United States House of Representatives for the 1st Congressional District of Louisiana as his Congressional District Assistant from 2005 to 2008, Letlow worked for Bobby Jindal, and during Jindal’s first term as Governor of Louisiana as Director of Intergovernmental Relations from 2008 to 2010.
He then worked for QEP Resources, an energy company based in Denver, as director of government and community relations.

During his election for Louisiana’s 5th congressional district, Letlow returned to Louisiana in 2014 to serve as campaign manager for Ralph Abraham. During his three-term tenure, he served as Abraham’s chief of staff.
Letlow announced on December 18, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that he had tested positive for the virus. In Monroe, he was hospitalized. After his condition worsened, on December 23, he was admitted to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport’s intensive care unit.

Letlow died of COVID-19 complications on 29 December at the age of 41, five days before he was due to be sworn into office.
When admitted, the hospital announced that he had no underlying problems, but died of a heart attack after a procedure in the ICU.
