Luis Troyano, the star of The Great British Bake Off, died at the age of 48.
Back in 2014, Luis, a graphic designer, was featured in Bake Off, reaching the final alongside Richard Burr and Nancy Birtwhistle.

Age
He was 48 years old.
Career
After finishing as runner-up on Bake Off in 2014.
Luis went on to find success, releasing his cookbook the following year and making more TV appearances.
He also opened a bakery of his own, The Hive. In 2014, in his home town, Troyano opened his first bakery, called The Hive Bakery, and he was announced as the patron of the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in 2015.
Wife
At the age of 17, he met his wife at college, and the couple married in Las Vegas 17 years later.
Death Cause
On Twitter, his manager shared the news said, “We are deeply saddened to hear that Luis Troyano has passed away. It was a huge honor and pleasure to have him in the Bake Off Tent for Series Five. Our condolences and thoughts go out to his friends and family.”

A Fundraising Running By His Wife
In his memory, Luis’s wife Louise set up a JustGiving website, fundraising for MacMillan Cancer Support. She tweet, “Sadly, my lovely client lost his brave fight against Oesophageal cancer last week. A fantastic man with a love of baking that saw him get to the finals of GBBO, write a wonderful book, Bake It Great and do so much more. Always in our thoughts.”
