Between 2015 and 2018, Lindsey Boylan worked for Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York.

For three years, she held the position of Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and Special Consultant to the Governor. But the local politician is now saying that Cuomo has for years” sexually assaulted her. On Twitter, she wrote a series of posts in which she also charged Cuomo with abusing his “power.”

She wrote, “Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years, Many saw it, and watched.”

“I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”

After a 2018 internal memo indicated that she belittled and screamed at female workers before resigning from her position as Cuomo’s special advisor, Boylan recently faced abuse charges of her own.

According to the memo, some women protested to the human resources department of Empire State Creation that while serving in Cuomo’s administration, the 36-year-old had behaved “unprofessional” towards them. Julia Pinover Kupiec, an ethics officer with the administration, wrote in the note. “Ms. Boylan had behaved in a way towards them that was harassing, belittling, and had yelled and been generally unprofessional,”
