According to local reports, an Idaho girl named Kambrie Horsley was killed when a rock smashed through the windshield of her father’s truck and struck her in the head.
The Idaho State Journal stated that young Kambrie Horsley was riding in her father Brad Horsley’s vehicle near Malad on Monday when a semi-driving on the same road dislodged a 4-inch boulder off the road, hurling it their way.
She was 10 years old.

According to the article, the girl died after her father brought her to the hospital for treatment. In her tragic obituary, Kambrie’s family wrote, “Words cannot describe the shock and sadness that we all feel,”
“We will miss her terribly, but we find peace knowing she is with her Father in Heaven and those family members beyond the veil.”
“Her happy countenance shown about her always and she gave everyone the best hugs!”
“Kambrie sped through her short life with such drive and intensity modeling love and inclusion in all she did.”
Her family added, “She was her daddy’s girl and loved to ride anywhere with him and the boys especially up to the land riding horses,”
“She was her momma’s big helper in the kitchen and with the little girls. She brought such joy to us all and there is a hole in our family until we get her back. She was simply the perfect little girl.”
The semi’s driver was allegedly unaware of the deadly accident until he was hunted down by sheriff’s deputies in Oneida County.
The sheriff’s office notified the Journal that no misconduct had occurred. Kambrie’s funeral will take place on Saturday.
