Jonathan Gregory Brandis was an actor from the United States. Brandis started his career as a child model before moving on to commercial acting and finally landing television and film roles. He was born in Danbury, Connecticut, on April 13, 1976.

Brandis was discovered hanging in the hallway of his Los Angeles apartment on November 11, 2003. He was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died the next day from the injuries he suffered from the hanging.

Career

Brandis made his acting debut in 1982 on the soap opera One Life to Live as Kevin Buchanan.

In Stephen King’s supernatural horror miniseries It, he played Bill Denbrough in 1990. In 1990, he appeared in The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter as Bastian Bux.

He was cast in the role of Lucas Wolenczak, a teen prodigy on the NBC series SeaQuest DSV when he was 17 years old. Brandis was a common character among adolescent audiences, and he was often featured in teen magazines.
