Joji Yanami Bio/Wiki

Joji Yanami worked for Aoni Production and was a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator.

Dr. Briefs, Kai-sama, and Bobbidi were among his prominent vocal roles in the Dragon Ball anime series, which he narrated and voiced. Dr. Isaac Gilmore in Cyborg 009, Gennai in Digimon, Ittan Momen in GeGeGe no Kitar, Dr. Yumi in Mazinger Z, and various characters in the Time Bokan series were among his other notable roles.


He was 90 years old.


Toei Animation started on September 25, 2015, when Yanami would be taking an indefinite medical vacation from Dragon Ball Super.

Naoki Tatsuta took over his roles as narrator and Kai-sama.

Yanami started his career as a voice actor in the 1960s, with roles in Wolf Boy Ken, Osomatsu-kun, Cyborg 009, and the Moomin anime. He appeared in Ashita no Joe, Devilman, Mazinger Z, and Cutie Honey throughout the next decade.

Yanami also provided the voices for Gennai in Digimon and a few characters in Time Bokan.

How Did Joji Yanami Die?

On December 3, 2021, Jji Yanami passed away. His death was revealed by his agency, Aoni Production, on Tuesday.

Although the cause of death was not immediately disclosed, local reports indicated that a private funeral service for his family members had already taken place.
