Jessica Campbell was an actress from American and a naturopathic “physician”. She was born on October 30, 1982, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.

The Campbell family confirmed the news to TMZ, saying that Campbell died in Portland, Oregon, on December 29, 2020. Her cousin, Sarah Wessling, told the publication that Campbell, who quit acting to become a naturopathic doctor, spent the day seeing patients at her practice.

She went home to see her mother and her aunt, went to the bathroom, and never came back.


She was 38 years old.


Campbell, who retired from acting to become a naturopathic, or holistic, alternative medicine practitioner, started her acting career with a part in the 1992 TV movie starring Sarah Jessica Parker, In the Best Interest of the Children.

Her performances included the roles of Tammy Metzler in the 1999 film Election, for which she was nominated for a Best Debut Performance Independent Spirit Award, Julie Gold in the 2001 film The Protection of Objects, and Amy Andrews’ two-episode guest role in the Freaks and Geeks TV series.

She played school jock Paul’s anxious sister (Chris Klein), whose girlfriend dumps her and leaves her for Paul. Wanting retribution, she runs for class president against him. The performance won her a nomination for best debut performance for the Independent Spirit Award.

Death Cause

Her death was confirmed by Sarah Wessling, her cousin. There was no disclosure of a cause, but Campbell reportedly had flu-like symptoms the morning of her death.

Her election costar, Reese Witherspoon, tweeted that she’s heartbroken about Campbell’s death. “Working with Jessica on Election was such a pleasure,” Witherspoon wrote.
