Singer-songwriter Jerry Demara, who starred in the Mexican version of The Voice, died in agony on Monday after injecting vitamins into his buttocks improperly. He was forty-two years old.

Demara’s widow Claudia Plascencia wrote on social media that before he was rushed to the hospital suffering from “unbearable pain, her husband was delirious and vomiting.”
She said he had undergone surgery but continued to suffer complications. Plascencia asked friends and fans constantly to pray for his recovery and appealed for a ‘miracle’ to God.
A clearly unwell Demara posted a video on his hospital Facebook page on Saturday, explaining that he was there ‘because I have an issue with[my] buttocks.’
The married dad-of-two went on to reveal that on three separate days, he had accidentally injected himself with vitamins.
