According to authorities, a gunman dressed as a Hasidic Jew and lurking under the raised hood of his car ambushed a man named Jermaine Dixon as he was getting into his car in Queens with a point-blank bullet to the head.
Jermaine Dixon was discovered dead on South Conduit Avenue in South Ozone Park at 8 a.m., according to authorities.
He was 47 years old.
According to the New York Post, the footage showed a man in a typical real – a long, black coat – and a wide-brimmed black hat used by Hasidic Jews lurking in front of his white Nissan automobile.
According to the video, the shooter had his trunk, hood, and car door open before hunching under the hood as Dixon approached his own car.
The unnamed attacker raced across the street and shot Dixon in the back of the head after Dixon turned his back on him to unlock the door to his car, according to the video.
As the man hurried back to his car, threw the hood down, and sped away from the scene, Dixon’s body was slumped in the front seat. Dixon was found inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head, according to cops. The person was pronounced dead on the site by EMS.
Dixon was targeted for no apparent reason, according to cops. According to authorities, no arrests have been made and the investigation is still underway.
