Deputies discovered two eyeglass cases in Brake’s RV after uncovering a glass pipe in his pocket that tested positive for meth.
Authorities stated drugs found in three transparent plastic baggies within the cases eventually tested positive for meth, heroin, and fentanyl.
In the cases, Brake allegedly had 1.8 grams of meth, 2.3 grams of heroin, and 4.1 grams of fentanyl hidden away. Sheriff officials said, “Detectives further located a credit card issued to Brake beside a digital scale within the RV,”
“There was also an assortment of firearms, prescription pill bottles prescribed to Brake, and a variety of drug paraphernalia present.”
Citrus County District officials claimed in a statement to The Post that Brake has worked for them since 2001 and is currently being held on a $41,000 bail. Superintendent Sam Himmel said, “All employees go through an FBI level 2 background screening,”
“We will work to the fullest extent with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office as this investigation continues.”
Brake is charged with fentanyl trafficking, having a residence for the trafficking of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth and heroin with the intent to distribute.
