Police in League City is searching for a man named James Henry Schulz who allegedly stabbed a Jack in the Box manager after he refused to wear a face mask or leave the restaurant.
It happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at the Jack in the Box at 1503 W. League City Parkway.
According to police, the perpetrator, James Henry Schulz, entered the restaurant without a face mask and was told that he needed one to be served or use the drive-thru.

He is 53 years old.

During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, League City police chief Gary Ratliff said, “[Schulz] belligerently refused and said they did not want to serve him because he was homeless and began yelling that he would be contacting his attorney as he was filming with his cell phone,”

The store’s written policy is kept up by the manager as he escorts Schulz out the door, according to a surveillance video released by the police department. According to police, Schulz returns to the restaurant seconds after turning his back, chases down the manager, and assaults him with what appeared to be a pocketknife.
Three times in the arm and upper body, the manager was stabbed. He was admitted to the hospital and treated before being released. Two photos of Schulz captured on surveillance footage have also been released by police. Schulz is dressed in blue jeans and a black and red flannel long-sleeved shirt in the photos.

In addition, he’s seen wearing a camouflage hat. Schultz was also seen wearing a green bag, according to police. Schulz is accused of fleeing the scene on a bicycle with a yellow flag, which police later discovered abandoned. A warrant has also been issued for his arrest.
