GAA fans in Dublin have paid respect to a fellow young fan named Jack Daniel who died after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.
On Tuesday, December 28th, Jack Daniel of Ballybrack died at home, surrounded by his family.
He was 15 years old.
Dublin GAA Fan Dies
The homage to the Dublin supporter who spent his time on Hill 16 at Croker was led by a Dublin GAA supporter’s Facebook page.
They wrote, “Absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dublin fan, Jack Daniel, after a brave 14 month battle against cancer,”
“Thoughts and prayers are with Nigel, Geraldine and all Jack’s family at this sad time.”

Cabinteely Football Club also made the following announcements, “All at the club are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of former player Jack Daniel at the young age of just 15 after a brave battle with illness.”
“A great kid and a very supportive family. We extend our sympathies to his parents Geraldine and Nigel, and his many friends.”
Geraldine and Nigel’s son, Jack, is a much-loved child. His grandparents Gerald and Lena, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and a huge network of acquaintances will all miss him.
On Friday, December 31 at 10:50 a.m., he will be removed from his home and will arrive at 11:05 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Churchview Road, Killiney.
At 11:15 a.m., Jack’s funeral will take place at Shanganagh Cemetery in Shankill, where he will be laid to rest.
