Formed in 1943, Gayle Moran is a vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter.
During the mid-1970s, she was a member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, featuring in Apocalypse (1974) and Visions of the Emerald Beyond (1975).

She later appeared on many recordings by her husband Chick Corea (who she married in 1972): Musicmagic, the Chick Corea solo albums The Leprechaun (1975), My Spanish Heart (1976), The Mad Hatter (1978), Secret Agent (1978) and Touchstone (1978) from Forever’s 1977 album (1982).
From the score to the 2007 film War starring Jet Li and Jason Statham, she assisted in making “Afterlife”.
“The Gracious Core” on Mark Isham’s album Castalia and the title track from the 1976 David Sancious & Tone release “Transformation” are other guest appearances (The Speed of Love).
Under her own name, she released one song, I Loved You Then … I Love You Now (1979).

In 1972, Corea was married to Gayle Moran, the vocalist/pianist.
Moran even followed the Church of Scientology just like her husband. In a previous interview dating back to 2016, Corea disclosed that he made frequent visits to the place with Moran when the church formed its base in Clearwater in the late ’70s.

Throughout his life and career, Chick relished in the freedom and the fun to be had in creating something new, and in playing the games that artists do. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and a great mentor and friend to so many. Through his body of work and the decades he spent touring the world, he touched and inspired the lives of millions.”
