Elsa Rabinowitz aka Elsa Raven was an American character actress, perhaps best known for her two years on the sitcom Amen (1988-1990) and portraying Vincent Terranova’s mother (Ken Wahl) on the Wiseguy TV series. He was born on September 21, 1929, in Charleston, South Carolina, U.S.

She is also famously known for her small role as the clock tower lady in Back to the Future with her expression “Save the clock tower!” when raising local donations to retain the clock as-is, in opposition to the proposal of Mayor Wilson to fully rebuild the clock.

Her agent confirmed to Deadline that she died on November 3 at her Los Angeles home. The character actress, whose cause of death has not yet been disclosed publicly, was 91.

In the 1997 film Titanic, she played Ida Straus opposite Lew Palter, who played Isidor Straus and had a voice role in the 1981 animated film American Pop.
