According to authorities, a 24-year-old Brooklyn mother named Dejhanny Jarrell was charged with attempted murder after throwing her 4-week-old baby, her 2-year-old child, and herself out of an apartment window in Brooklyn on Saturday.
The report came in shortly before 11:30 a.m. at a building on Rockaway Parkway near Winthrop Street in Brownsville, according to police.
The young mother, according to the NYPD, shoved the air conditioner out of her bedroom window and then flung her newborn down two and a half floors to the sidewalk. According to cops, she also threw her 2-year-old son down. Officials say she then jumped na*ed from the window. It was unclear which floor the apartment was on at the time.

A neighbor was able to jump over a fence and get in the way before the mother slammed the infant on the cement, according to a witness. It could have been far worse, according to eyewitnesses, if that neighbor hadn’t intervened.
According to authorities, all three were brought to a local hospital, where the infant was classified in critical condition. Authorities classified the mother’s and toddler’s statuses as “stable.” The cause of the frightening episode was unknown.
Police charged the mother, Dejhanny Jarrell, with two counts of attempted murder, two charges of assault, two charges of reckless endangerment, and two counts of acting in a manner detrimental to a child on Saturday night, according to PIX11 News.
