Hospital Bomb Blast Incident

Counter-terrorism detectives interviewed hero taxi driver David Perry for 90 minutes yesterday as part of their investigation into the bombing at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

After a homemade explosive tied to his passenger, Enzo Almeni exploded in the back of his cab, the father of two had a miraculous escape.

In the aftermath of the terror attack on Sunday, David was questioned by police.

The explosion was captured on video by a security camera.

It shows the cab a black estate or people carrier slowly approaching reception and then suddenly stopping, sending white smoke and debris flying into the air.

Mr. Perry sprints from the driver’s side door as a man in a yellow hi-viz vest dash to assist him.

The vehicle is subsequently enveloped in flames, but luckily, except for a few parked cars, the area appears to be vacant at the time of the explosion.

The car’s male passenger died at the scene, and three males, ages 29, 26, and 21, have been charged with terrorism.

On Monday morning, police announced the arrest of a fourth male, aged 20.

Although the name of the individual killed has not been established, the incident has now been classified as a terrorist attack, with police suspecting the use of an improvised explosive device.

Is David Perry Ok Now?

The taxi driver’s wife, Rachel Perry described his escape as “an utter miracle” and said he is “lucky to be alive” after a suspected terrorist device exploded in his car.

After fleeing his vehicle moments after the explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Sunday morning, David Perry has already been released from the hospital.

Rachel Perry expressed her gratitude for friends’ remarks on Facebook, saying her husband was “very sore and just trying to digest what’s occurred.”

She wrote, “The explosion happened whilst he was in the car and how he managed to escape is an utter miracle,”

“He certainly had some guardian angels looking after him.”

She also seemed to put a damper on claims that Mr. Perry had done something heroic.

Mrs. Perry added, “There are a lot of rumours flying round about him being a hero and locking the passenger inside the car… but the truth of the matter is, he is without a doubt lucky to be alive,”

She also expressed gratitude to the “wonderful” medical workers and police for their care of the family.

She added, “Let’s pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else,”
