According to a new coroner’s report, the 6-year-old North Chicago kid found dead in an abandoned Indiana home last week suffered hypothermia and “partially frozen” internal organs.
Damari Perry’s body was autopsied after his mother and two siblings were charged with his killing last week after officials discounted their allegations that he had gone missing.

Damari’s body was partially charred and seemed to have an injury to his right leg when he was discovered Saturday near Gary, Indiana, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
The autopsy revealed, “scattered ecchymosis on the right leg, extreme cold core temperature, and partially frozen internal organs” and said that the boy’s body was naked.
Damari was reported missing on Jan. 5, with his 16-year-old sister claiming cops she fell asleep at a party and he wandered off – story police dubbed “false.”
The boy’s mother, Jannie Perry, was charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death in the case last week.
Jeremiah Perry, 20, was charged with aggravated violence causing serious bodily damage to a kid under the age of 12, and a second sibling, who was not identified due to her age, was charged with concealing her brother’s body.
