On September 1, 2021, during an Instagram Live broadcast, Spruill seemed to be holding a gun, threatened suicide, and declared her desire to have her brain tested for CTE. The next day, she was discovered dead.

According to TMZ, police in Georgia have been looking for her, while fans and fellow wrestlers have taken to social media in an attempt to contact him after the films were published by the Twitter account Skulls Media.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted on Wednesday night, “For those concerned about Daffney, emergency services have been contacted and sent to her most recent known address.”
