Corissa McCalister, a Spanish teacher at an Ohio high school, is accused of sexually assaulting a teen student. McCalister is a teacher at Catholic Central High School in Steubenville, which is about 30 miles west of Pittsburgh in eastern Ohio.
On April 23, McCalister was apprehended. According to WTOV-TV, she is facing two charges of sexual battery.
McCalister was still identified as a high school Spanish teacher on Catholic Central’s website as of this writing. The school has put McCalister on administrative leave, according to a press release from the Diocese of Steubenville quoted by the Daily Mail.
McCalister is also the school’s cross country coach, according to the statement. She was also a track coach’s assistant.
Coach titles for individual sports are not listed on the athletics section of the school’s website.
She is 21 years old and the teen student was 15 years old.

According to WTOV-TV, McCalister was arrested after an incident on March 30. According to the outlet, McCalister drove a 15-year-old boy home after a track meets, citing Harrison County Sheriff Joe Myers.
The Edison Local School district hosted the track meet, according to the Daily Mail.
Officials said McCalister stopped at the Harrison County Fairgrounds before driving him home. McCalister had s*x with the teen in the backseat of her car, according to the Daily Mail.
According to WTOV-TV, the boy’s mother notified officials at Catholic Central High School, where the boy attends.
McCalister’s LinkedIn account has been suspended or deleted. However, a Google search yields only a portion of her bio. In that segment, she described herself as the head cross country coach for Catholic Central High School.
