Age
He was 58 years old.
Wife

Colette Simon is the wife of Cliff Simon. Cliff married his girlfriend in a South African game lodge in 1997.
Career
He landed a job teaching windsurfing and waterskiing at a resort hotel in 1982, after completing his two-year term in the air force. As luck would have it, a stage show was being staged at the resort, and one of the performers told Simon that the choreographer was looking for a gymnast. Simon had a feeling this would be the first step toward a future on stage.
Simon went on to act as a dancer/acrobat in numerous stage productions all over the world, culminating in his dream role as a performer at Paris’s world-famous Moulin Rouge in 1989.
Simon starred as Ba’al in a video for the Sea Shepherd conservation organization in 2015.
Cliff was cast in a supporting role in the sci-fi/thriller “Project Eden” in July 2015.
Cliff presented the travelogue documentary Uncharted Mysteries (Into the Unknown) in 2019, which will debut in the United Kingdom on The History Channel on February 24, 2020.
Cliff traveled alone around the world, through some of the most intense and forbidding environments, looking for secret answers to some of history’s most terrifying myths.
Death Cause
Cliff Simon died at the age of 58, according to his family. Simon’s wife, Colette, released a statement in which she shared her “unimaginable heartbreak” over his death.
She clarified that her husband died earlier this week after being involved in a kiteboarding accident at Topanga Beach in California. Colette Simon wrote on a Facebook post, “He was known to most of you on this page as the villain you loved to hate, Ba’al, from Stargate SG-1,”
“But, as he said, ‘Acting is what I do, it’s only a part of who I am.’ And he was SO much more – a true original, an adventurer, a sailor, swimmer, dancer, actor, author. There is a gaping hole where he once stood on this earth. He was loved by too many to mention and had a great impact on so many lives.”

I don’t have any photos with Cliff Simon. But I remember him fondly. He had the most insane stories, and he would weave them masterfully. I sat enthralled – listening, laughing… I remember every car ride, brother.
Hope you’re holding court somewhere interesting.
