Christopher Buggs Bio/Wiki
Officials said a man named Christopher Buggs charged with murder in 2018 was released from Rikers Island prison early.
Why Christopher Buggs Was Arrested?
Christopher Buggs was arrested in connection with a second-degree murder charge three years ago. On February 16, his counsel requested that Buggs be released on bail during a routine virtual trial, which the judge refused. According to a law enforcement source familiar with the trial, Buggs was enraged by the ruling and yelled expletives at the court.
Buggs was found in contempt of court and sentenced to 30 days in prison. According to the source, Buggs was released on Tuesday after serving just about two-thirds of his contempt of court sentence.
