The Largo Police Department had not released the video at that time. Heavy’s incident report lists the facts seized by police at the school: a video surveillance DVD, still photographs on a CD and a 17-ounce can of Claire disinfectant spray.

Reszetar sprayed the aerosol disinfectant into the faces and bodies of the children in the police report quoted by WFLA-TV.

But when Reszetar made her first court appearance, she insisted that the video recordings would show that the outlet claimed that she was innocent of the charges. Following the incident that day, police were called to Largo High School in Largo, Florida, where police said Reszetar told them that four of her students had refused to wear face masks properly to prevent the spread of coronavirus, News Channel 8 reported.

She reportedly sprayed an aerosol disinfectant “in the path of their faces and bodies” after their rejection.

Supposedly, the incident was captured by video cameras. Reszetar spent the night in jail and appeared on Thursday before a magistrate. On January 7, she told the judge that she was a teacher of Learning Disabled Maths at Largo High School, where she had been teaching for 18 years, and said the video of the incident would show that the charges against her were not valid.

Arrested And Charges

On January 6, Reszetar was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Before she was released after midnight on January 8, Pinellas County Sheriff’s inmate records indicate, she spent more than a day behind bars.

The judge determined that Reszetar should be released without bail because she does not have a criminal record, according to WFLA-TV. The prosecutor had called for a bond to be enforced.

Court documents reveal that Reszetar faces four felony counts of “child abuse without great bodily harm.” In this case, the court prohibited access to online records.
