A suspect named Brian Boyd has been arrested in the hit-and-run crash that killed “Gone Girl” actress Lisa Banes in Manhattan.
According to law enforcement sources, Brian Boyd, an Upper West Sider who lives on the same corner as the fatal June 4 crash, was charged with abandoning the scene of an accident ending in death and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Banes was injured by a motorized scooter in a hit-and-run crash on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on June 4, 2021.
With a catastrophic brain injury, she was sent to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where she died on June 14 at the age of 65.
He is 26 years old.

According to the sources, Boyd was apprehended by patrol cops who recognized him from a wanted poster.
When Banes was hit by a red and black Fairthorpe motorbike purportedly driven by Boyd on Amsterdam Avenue at West 64th Street, she suffered a fatal traumatic brain injury. The 65-year-old actress was in town for a visit from Los Angeles and was on her way to supper with a friend.
