According to police, a father named Brandon Curtis was shot dead after taking his 15-year-old daughter to compete with other teenagers. In Houston, Texas, Brandon Curtis, was killed on Friday after he allegedly entered the war, and was shot down by another adult.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of Harris County said it happened after Curtis took his daughter to fight with other teenagers. Curtis‘ wife and sisters, however, dispute that claim.
He was 35 years old.

Sheriff’s deputies were informed by Richardson that he was acting in self-defense, and he was not charged. The investigation into the death of Curtis is ongoing, and once done, it will be passed to prosecutors.
Sheriff Gonzalez’s claims have since been contested by Curtis’s grieving family. They say the dead dad was actually hoping to talk to the parents of a teenage boy about his daughter’s bullying on social media.
Shantal Harris, his wife, said to KTRK: “I don’t feel like it’s right to let that come out like that. I’m angry. I’m angry about it. I know my husband. My husband is not like that.”
A 20-year-old man told police that his younger brother was struck by Curtis, the outlet reported.
He said that he had then taken out a gun to protect the teenage boy and shot Curtis, who had been pronounced dead at the scene, the outlet reported. But the family of Curtis strongly denies that with that boy he would have been physical.
