Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom Full House (1987–1995), its Netflix successor Fuller House (2016–2020), and the voice of narrator Ted Mosby on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014) were among his many acting jobs.

He was the original host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 through 1997.

Cause Of Death

Saget was staying at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando in Grande Lakes, Florida, on January 9, 2022, south of Orlando and east of Walt Disney World.

He was on the road doing stand-up comedy and had just finished a show in Ponte Vedra Beach the night before.

At around 4 p.m. EST, hotel workers discovered Saget unresponsive in his room.

After being unable to contact him, he had missed his scheduled check-out time, and his family had become anxious.

He was 65 years old when he died at the site, according to emergency responders. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed, although police and the medical examiner ruled out foul play and drug usage.

In the Eastern and Central Time Zones, news of Saget’s death emerged during a broadcast of America’s Funniest Home Videos, and ABC halted the show to announce it.
