In July 2020, when she was accused of defacing many Black Lives Matter murals in New York City, Beatty gained media attention, the Staten Island Advance reported at the time. Beatty, who, according to the outlet, lives on Staten Island, was taken into custody alongside Edmee Chavannes, another woman.

Beatty, Chavannes, and a man named Kevin Whitt were accused of defacing a Black Lives Matter monument near the White House shortly after the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, the Washington Post reported.

D.C. Police also reported that there was a stabbing at 2:30 a.m. In the 1400 block of New York Avenue in the capital of the country.

Officers are searching for three perpetrators, two black males in all-black clothes, and a black female in black sweatpants, according to the release. The female suspect was, the police said, armed with a knife.

Tom Lynch of NBC Washington confirmed that all those injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident and are “associated with the proud boy’s group.”

All those stabbed described themselves as members of the Proud Boys, NBC Washington posted.

WUSA9, citing police sources, said later on the morning of November 4 that authorities could no longer confirm that the victims were representatives of the Proud Boys or whether the perpetrators were activists of Black Lives Matter.
