She is the daughter of François Marie Joseph Abel Henri Sauvage, Count de Brantes, who died in the concentration camp of Mauthausen-Gusen on 8 May 1944, and of his wife, Princess Aymone Marie Sylvie Renée Françoise de Faucigny-Lucinge et Coligny, of Charles Ferdinand’s great-granddaughter, Duc de Berry, of Amy Brown, his mistress.

She is also the great-niece of José Emilio Terry y Dorticos, a French designer and architect born in Cuba, and of Roger Marie Joseph Henri Sauvage de Brantes, the real Marquis de Brantes. She is the great-granddaughter of Tomás Terry y Adán, the Cuban business magnate, through her mother.

Her great-grandfather was Henri Schneider, the son of Eugène Schneider himself, the founder of what would become the Schneider Party, a multinational syndicate.
