On Saturday, May 22, a University of Cincinnati soccer player named Ally Sidloski drowned at a state park in Ohio, according to authorities and school officials.
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ally Sidloski was last seen hanging from the platform of a boat on William Harsha Lake on Saturday, May 22, before disappearing into the sea.
Officials said her body was discovered at East Fork State Park at 1 a.m. on Sunday, May 23. When she vanished, there were about 15 adults on the ships, including Sidloski.

Sidloski redshirted her freshman year and made her collegiate debut against East Carolina in 2019. She played in the first round of the AAC tournament against SMU and was named All-Academic AAC after the 2019 season.
How Did Ally Sidloski Die?
Search teams discovered her body at East Fork State Park about 1 a.m. Sunday, according to authorities.
When she vanished, there were 15 adults on the ships, including Sidloski. According to the DNR’s website, her body was discovered closer to a dam at Harsha Lake, where the water depth reaches roughly 113 feet. At the moment, Sidloski, of Strongsville, was not wearing a life jacket.
According to DNR spokeswoman Stephanie O’Grady, an investigation into Sidloski’s death was still pending Monday. Department officials said, “ODNR reminds watercraft users to operate their equipment responsibly, always wear a life jacket and pay close attention to local conditions and posted advisories,”
Sidloski recently finished her sophomore soccer season, despite being injured due to injury, according to the University of Cincinnati. Neil Stafford, head soccer coach said, “I am absolutely crushed for the Sidloski family, our soccer team and the university,”
“There’s no words for dealing with a tragedy on this scale.”
