Aleyda Mendoza is the ex-wife of Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez.
Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, the Orange, California shooter’s ex-wife, has expressed horror and heartbreak over the harrowing incident that occurred on March 31.
Gonzalez opened fire at an Orange real estate company named Unified Homez, killing four people, including a nine-year-old child, in America’s third mass shooting in two months. Gonzalez was shot in the head by police and now faces murder charges for the murders, which he carried out on people he knew.
His ex-wife, Aleyda Mendoza, issued a statement to SCNG in the aftermath of the disaster, criticizing Gonzalez’s conduct. She, on the other hand, has no idea what might have triggered the shootings.
Her age is unknown.
California Attack Full Details
The Anaheim, California, resident had been married to the Orange gunman previously. She worked for Unified Homez, a mobile home sales company, as a specialist and transaction coordinator. According to the website Conan Daily, she currently works at the Prestige Real Estate Group in Anaheim.
Gonzalez and she split up two years ago, and she never heard from him again about where he was living or what he was doing at the time. Mendoza also spoke to the outlet about the threats she and her family have faced after her ex opened fire on unarmed civilians.
Mendoza said in a statement, “I don’t have the words to describe the pain and horror that this tragedy has caused me – this should have never happened,”
“My heart is crushed, I still can’t accept that this happened, I keep closing my eyes and praying to God this is all just a bad dream and I’ll wake up soon.”
She added, “were my family.”
“I learned everything I know there and they shaped who I am today. They always supported me and were there for me and my children whenever I needed them most.”
Mendoza continued, “It hurts me even more knowing my ex-husband was capable of doing such a horrible thing, I can’t understand what went through his head to make such a terrifying decision. He left behind a sea of pain and grief for so many families who can’t find comfort.”
In terms of why the little boy in particular will be targeted, Tovar Jr said, “He was just trying to cause as much damage as he could.”
Gonzalez was still unconscious in the hospital on Friday, April 2, and had not yet entered a plea to the four murder charges or the attempted murder charge against Tamayo. Authorities have yet to establish a motive, but their best guess is that it stems from a personal rivalry between Tovar, the company’s owner, and Gonzalez.
