Abigail Elphick, also known as “Victoria’s Secret Karen,” is a New Jersey lady. A video of an incident at the Short Hills Mall featuring her has gone viral.
On camera, the woman is shown charging at Ijeoma Ukenta, a Black woman, and then claiming to be the victim. Ijeoma Ukentarecorded the encounter and shared it on TikTok and YouTube. Commentators identified the White woman as a Cedar Grove, New Jersey-based teacher’s aide in her twenties.
People began urging that Elphick’s position at Cedar Grove High School, where she works, be terminated as soon as her recordings went viral on social media.

Abigail Elphick, also known as “Victoria’s Secret Karen” and “Get her away from me Karen,” is a resident of New Jersey. Elphick is seen in the viral videos hitting a Black woman who is filming Elphick’s conduct on TikTok.
Elphick can be seen trying to hit the woman behind the camera at the beginning of the video, but as soon as she discovers that her emotions are being recorded, she begins crying and shouting for security while sitting on the floor.

Elpnick rushes towards Ukenta and tries to attack her and the camera in the first video in the series. As Ukenta says, she takes a step back. Ukenta said, “Oh my God. Oh my God. Do you see this? Oh my God. I never thought nothing like this would happen to me. She tried to run and hit.”
Elphick then knelt down, tears streaming down her face, and tries to assert, “No I didn’t.”
She added, “I don’t want to be recorded.”
Elphick screams and yells after that, “Don’t record my mental breakdown please. Please, please, please.”
On Twitter Ukenta said, “I was banned off Tik Tok however everyone else was allowed to tell my story. I’m traumatized,”

She cry out, “She’s recording me. Tell her to stop,”
Ukenta gently responded, “You keep lying saying I’m threatening you so I’m recording to protect myself,”. She doesn’t seem very close to Elphick.
Elphick can be seen yelling and screeching and running at Ukenta, who was filming the incident.
When the video shows Elphick charging at Ukenta and Ukenta doing nothing but capturing the situation, Ukenta repeated saying she was afraid the authorities would believe her if she said Ukenta attacked her.
As of July 13, 2021, Ukenta had raised more than $57,000 through a GoFundMecampaign. She wrote on the GoFundMe website, “I am a Black Muslimah Nigerian AM and I was treated like it was 1920 in Short Hills Mall. I was assaulted and harassed by a white woman and and nothing was done by security nor the police,”
