Steven Roberts Bio
Steven V. Robert is a reporter, author and commentator from the United States. He worked for 25 years for The New York Times and was also a correspondent for the White House and Congress. At George Washington University, he teaches journalism and political communication.

In 1966, Steven married Cokie Roberts, his wife. Steven said he was "bowled over" by the intellect of his wife during an interview with the New York Times in 2017. He added that the most significant choice ever to make is to marry the correct individual.

They collaborated many times over the years. They wrote a book together, called From This Day Forward, and also contributed for a number of years to a nationally syndicated US Weekend news column.
Together they published a joint op-ed on The Joplin Globe in September 2019 condemning the presidency of Donald Trump. Trump unilaterally destroys his own government's capacity to adopt reasonable policies because he refuses to recognize the job of experts— researchers and economists, intelligence analysts and agronomists— who stay committed to their norms of autonomous non-partisanship."
Steven Roberts Journalist
Roberts started his journalistic career in Harvard, where he served as editor of The Harvard Crimson, the college newspaper. He was employed as a research assistant to James Reston by The New York Times after graduating, then Washington, D.C., the paper. Chief of the office.
He worked at the U.S. as a senior author. News & World Report, where he is now a contributing editor for seven years. Roberts has two kids together with his wife, Lee and Rebecca. Also Rebecca is a journalist with a B.A. In Princeton University's political science. She has documented and helped host a number of radio shows for journals such as NPR and networks such as BBC.
Cokie Roberts Death
Cokie died of breast cancer complications on September 16, 2019. The family issued a declaration reading
“We will miss Cokie beyond measure, both for her contributions and for her love and kindness.”
